Red White & Blue!! July 2 Music in the Park

Independence Day is just around the corner!

Join us on Wednesday, July 2 as we explore some woodwind instruments. It's a very special week for me as my mom will be sitting in on the class during her visit from Iowa! Everyone will meet my fiance, Jeff, as well.

Jeff will bring his saxophone and I will bring my clarinet. We may also have a flute joining us. We will learn about what classifies a woodwind instrument and how they work. The kids will have a chance to get hands on covering the holes and pressing the keys while we play. Our marching band skills will come in handy while we march to some music!

To accomodate work schedules for my demonstrators, class times will be a bit different. Jeff needs to leave the park a little after 10:30 and the flute player will as well if she is able to participate.

Ages 3 & up: 9:45
Demonstration and instrument petting zoo for all ages will start around 10:10. Please plan to arrive a bit after 10:00 for this.
Ages 2 & under: 10:35-11:00 or so. When arriving for class please just come into the circle and find a spot. The 3 & up class is plenty friendly for toddlers! I focus a bit more on rhythm flash cards and theory but the younger children get a lot out of watching and listening to them participate.

Wear some patriotic colors and be prepared to make Music in the Park!
