Friday, October 3: DRUMS!

Hi everyone! Thanks to all who stopped by last week at the Golden Gallop to participate in and support Music in the Park! It meant a lot to me and I think we may have some new friends joining us Friday.

This week we are bringing the drums back! It's always such a fun and interactive theme. This time I would like the kids to help out and think of something around the house they could bring to Music that would count as a drum or rhythm instrument! If you have drums, shakers, clappers, etc. and don't mind sharing with friends please bring those as well. We will have plenty of drums and instruments to go around either way.

If anyone knows someone willing to bring a trumpet or trombone please let me know! These have also been requested and I know from experience these instruments are wonderful for kids' classes. Sliding the trombone is SO much fun! Similar to the saxophone or clarinet the kids also enjoy pushing the keys on the trumpet to change the sound.

Music in the Park-Friday, September 26!

We're back again! 

 

Join me this Friday for Music in the Park!

Weather depending we will finally get to learn about those woodwind instruments. Once again I plan to bring the clarinet and saxophone along with my guitar! We will sing, dance, shake out rhythms, and get hands on with these awesome woodwind instruments.

Golden Gallop 

The Golden Gallop offers a 5k, 10k, and Kids Fun Run with proceeds going to the Golden Schools Foundation. Music in the Park will have a special feature in Parfet Park running from 8:00-10:00 for those participating! I'm so very excited for this opportunity. There will also be face painting, live music by Gunslinger and a beer garden sponsored by Barrels & Bottles Brewery. Volunteers are still needed, please let me know if you're interested in helping out!

Friday, September 5: Woodwinds!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Join us this Friday in the park for woodwind instruments. We'll learn more about this instrument class with an up close look at the clarinet and saxophone! The kids will have a chance to get hands on with these instruments and learn how we change the pitch. Bring your dancing feet, we'll be singing and shaking to our favorite songs!
